Mikel Arteta was named to his team for Arsenal’s Champions League campaign.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has left Gabriel Jesus from the Gunners team due to the Champions League phase. The Brazilian is still on the comeback trail after suffering an ACL injury in January as the ARTETA team lost to Manchester United in the FA Cup.
Gunners has designated a maximum of 25 to 23 players on the A list. The number of eligible slots will be down from a maximum of 25, depending on the number of locally trained players.
Some academies talent, including Ethan Nuwaneri and Miles Lewis Skelly, are born since 2004 and are eligible for B-list as they are eligible to play for Arsenal for two years uninterrupted periods after their 15th birthday. However, Max Dowman, who turned 15 last December, was named A-list.
The 23 A-list also includes Arsenal’s eight senior summer signatures: Kepa Alizabaraga, Piero Hincapie, Christian Mosquera, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgado, Noni Madueke, Evele Eze and Victor Guyokar. There is also the spot for young keeper Tommy Setford, who joined Ajax’s Gunners in 2024.
If Arsenal reaches the knockout stage, they can tweak the team in the new year. Dowman can move to B-list after his 16th birthday and release Jesus’ A-list spots if he deserves him to return.

Dowman was able to set a record to ensure that the youngest player ever will be in the Champions League if he reaches the pitch in a competition before the turn of the year. The current record is held by former Borussia Dortmund starlet Yousoufa Moukoko, who was 16 years and 18 days ago when he played for the German side with Zenit St Petersburg in 2020.
Teen Sensory Dowman has already become the second youngest player in the Premier League. He will turn 16 on a big ve. That means for a minute in one of Arsenal’s first six league phase games, you’ll see him break Mucoco’s record.
Arsenal will drive the European campaign to Athletic Bilbao on September 16th, but their first home game will face the Olympiacos in 15 days. They will then face Atletico Madrid, Slavia Prague, Bayern Munich and Club Bruges before the turn of the year, and will be met with Inter Milan and Kairat Almati in January.
Last season, Arteta’s team finished third in the league phase, with Inter being the only team to beat them in eight games. They then appeared in the final champions, Paris Saint-Germain and Samis, after passing through the knockout bond between PSV Eindhoven and Real Madrid.
