Liverpool missed Mark Guech’s deadline contract after Crystal Palace decided to pull the plug in the relocation in the 11th hour with a dramatic twist

Liverpool is expected to revisit interest in Mark Guech when the relocation window reopens after Crystal Palace pulls the plug in the England star’s deadline move.

Guehi, 25, is the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park, and has been deeply tied to the Premier League champions in recent months. Over the weekend, the club once again contacted the central defender about a contract, revealing that a fee of £35 million had been agreed on the deadline.

Unfortunately, late drama continued as the palace encountered difficulties in their bid to sign defensive reinforcements. Julio Igor decided to break out of the loan move in pursuit of a switch to West Ham, leaving Jadee Cambot as their only defensive reception. The palace then opposed sanctioning Guech’s exit – despite him taking on some of his medical care.

Guehi will not be short on Anfield anytime soon, but Mail has confirmed that Guehi is a player of interest from Liverpool who will try to sign him again in January or next summer.

The Reds have been better in pursuit of Alexander Isaac. However, he was not joining Guehi.

Eagles head coach Oliver Glasner has not kept his desire to keep Guech at the club beyond the transfer period. He doubled that stance following the exit of Ebebeki Eze, who joined Arsenal on a £67.5 million contract last week. After Guehi’s 3-0 victory at Aston Villa on Sunday, Glasner said:

“We can’t find a replacement that can be played in the Premier League right away within a day. Looking at our defensive setup, this is our foundation and everyone knows exactly what he has to do. Everyone can turn to each other.

“We have to protect him. I told the chairman this, and it’s not for me.”
