“All coaches make his own choices” – Gianluigi Donnaruma addresses the exit of Paris Saint-Germain after joining Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola

Gianluigi donnarumma says that Luis Enrique has no issues despite being abolished by the Paris Saint-Germain head coach ahead of the transition to Manchester City.

Addressing the media during an international mission with Italy to face Estonia and Israel in the World Cup qualifiers, Donnaruma was asked if he was disappointed with how his time ended at PSG.

“I’ve always had a great relationship with my coach (Enrique),” Donnaruma said.

“He was with me from the first few days of training camp. Did you feel disappointed? I don’t know. Everyone makes their choices.

“Coach has the power to make decisions, but having the support of everyone, especially my teammates, made me realize what I gave to PSG, and I think that’s the most important thing.

“Beyond football, this is what remains. Knowing the whole environment, the love of my teammates was a proud thing I left behind.”

He can’t wait now to start working under his new manager, Pep Guardiola.

“When you’re hoping for a club like a city, it’s an indescribable feeling that you were working well and you wanted from one of the world’s most powerful coaches like Guardiola,” he said.

“I’ve always been very trained and couldn’t wait to join City because they really wanted me. The coach really wanted me, so it made me proud.

“I am proud of me to be so demanded by the best clubs in the world, but I am extremely emotional and happy.

“Every coach has his own choice, and I don’t know why, but I’m proud to be coached by Guardiola, who has won so many worlds and one of the best.

“I’m always trying to help the team and do what the coach asks me. I can do everything. You can always improve everything, but when it comes to what the coach asks me, I try to improve.

“I’ve always done great things since I started playing at 16 to this day. I think I’ve achieved great things, although mistakes always happen.”
