Alexander Isaac completed the long-awaited £125 million move to Anfield on transfer deadline after going on a strike to force a move to magpie fans’ wrath.
Alexander Isaac says that as the summer saga surrounding his future is finally over, he was unable to turn down the opportunity to join Liverpool on a British record £125 million contract.
Swedish forward Isaac sealed his long-awaited move at the transfer deadline as he played in Newcastle’s first three matches in Newcastle’s first three matches in order to force the move he felt was promised.
Isaac made the public enemy No. 1 on Tyneside with his actions, and a banner calling him a “rat” hanged outside St. James Park on Monday.
However, Isaac showed almost regret for his actions after securing the switch he longed for, and he took a picture of No. 9 shirt at Anfield.

When asked why Liverpool is the Reds website, Isaac said:
“I got the chance to participate in this, I want to make history, I want to win a trophy.
“It was ultimately my biggest motivation and I feel that this is the perfect place for me to grow further and take the game to the next level and help my team.
“I feel this is the next step in my career. I’m very happy to be given this opportunity and I want to do something well with it.”
Isak scored 62 goals for Newcastle in three seasons at Tyneside and found the net twice against Liverpool at Anfield when he played in black and white.
Now featured on the home team before the KOP, he added: “It’s very exciting, I think it’s difficult to put words in.
“I think we all know what Liverpool is, what their fans and what they’re doing, so yeah, I’m looking forward to experiencing that.”
