Newcastle Captain Bruno Guimarès sends strong Alexander Isaac message to club bosses

Alexander Isaac continues to push the move from Newcastle, but has not approached the exit after he goes on a strike. The forward is suing “broken promise” after failing to secure a move to Liverpool

Newcastle captain Bruno Guimarès has urged the club to somehow end the story of Alexander Isaac’s transfer.

Newcastle captain Bruno Guimarès says the players hope to settle Alexander Isaac’s transfer items as quickly as possible, and the striker is still hoping to move to Liverpool.

ISAK has not been featured on Eddie Howe’s side this season after refusing to join his teammates all summer and for training.

He has since issued a statement pleading for a “broken promise” from the Newcastle hierarchy.

Liverpool has already rejected a £110 million bid for Swedish International, and it is understood that Newcastle is valued him at around £150 million.

Newcastle welcomed Liverpool to St James Park on Monday night in Servan after a last minute 3-2 loss thanks to a dramatic winner from teenager Rio Nugumoha.

After the game, Guimarès said he hadn’t spoken to ISAK about the situation, but urged the club to find the saga conclusion so that the team could focus on the upcoming season.

He said the team is “really missing” as he is trying to advance without the players who scored 27 goals last season to lead him to a Carabao Cup victory.

“I didn’t contact him,” Guimares told ESPN Brazil after Liverpool’s defeat. “We’ve been training in the morning, but when no one on the team is there, he trains at another time.

“It’s a tough situation because as captains and as players for us, we want to have the best players together with us. But that’s something we can’t control – the club, the management and the owners are dealing with it, and I hope it’s sorted out in the best way.

“Of course he’s someone we feel is away, because there’s really no striker who’s a player who scored over 20 goals in the Premier League last season.

Newcastle has seen many of the ISAK alternatives as they are about to bring in new strikers. The current situation shows no indication of a resolution. Even if you don’t leave by the deadline, there is no guarantee that ISAK will return to the team.

Magpies reportedly have been denied a £50 million bid for their latest set-off for the new striker’s bid, Wolf forward Jorgen Strand Larsen. They were piped to the signature of Hugo Echicchique by Liverpool, and two bids by Brentford’s Joan Wissa were also denied.
