Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is currently head of global football for Red Bull and may be ready for a reunion with Harvey Elliott, the target of RB Leipzig.
RB Leipzig plans to bolster interest in Liverpool star Harvey Elliott if Chelsea completes the Xavi Simons signature. Chelsea has built a huge link to Simons’ move this summer, and the 22-year-old wants to join the Blues.
Simons is a highly rated young talent who contributed 46 goals in 78 appearances in all Leipzig competitions, and first joined on loan in 2023 before making a permanent move this January.
According to the Daily Mail, Leipzig Value Simons is around £60 million, and Chelsea offers all sorts of potential deals, including Christopher Nkunku and Tyrique George. However, both players have other options.
If his contract with Simons could be attacked, Elliott is said to be Leipzig’s top target, replacing Liverpool with a valuing midfielder for around £50 million. The move towards Leipzig will see him reuniting with former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
After leaving Liverpool last summer, Klopp admitted that his one regret in his final season doesn’t often bring Elliott.
Elliott was a young Liverpool fan and reluctant to leave the club, but the 22-year-old admits he is forced to be forced for his career after only six starts in all competitions.

“The only situation where I and the team have to have a conversation is that I’m 22 now, so I’m 23 next season,” Elliot said when asked about his future while he was away with the UK at the Under-21 European Championships.
“I don’t want to waste years of my career because it’s a short career. I don’t know what will happen. It needs to be reflected. I need to see if I’m happy with what I’m doing and if I can improve as a player because that’s the most important thing.
“I just want to be the best possible version of myself. If it goes somewhere, it’s a decision I have to make and I just need to see what happens.
“There’s nothing I don’t want to leave. I love the club. I love the fans, my team. I support them too. But most importantly, it’s what’s best for my career.
“After my injury, I think it’s always difficult, but I wanted to have a little more opportunity — but football is football.”
