Liverpool is preparing for the exit for Harvey Elliott, with the imminent arrival of Alexander Isaac set to encourage the departure of the England star. Astenvilla is on a contract for the 22-year-old, according to Athletic. Elliott can head to Villa Park on loan before the mandatory £35 million buy clause is exercised next summer.
Isaac’s arrival releases Elliot to make his move to secure more game time elsewhere as the Swedes bring British record to £155 million to the Premier League champions with a key extra offensive option.
Elliott has limited opportunities at Liverpool last season, serving primarily as a team player under the slots, and most of his playing time comes from the bench.
However, the midfielder won the UEFA European Under 21 Championship against England, winning a tournament award player.
Villa is said to have a contract, and the Villa Park team is investigating whether they can build a transaction that complies with UEFA financial regulations. Unai Emery implements minimal business due to the club’s financial constraints.
Elliott may be considering moving from his current club after Florian Wiltz arrives from Bayer Leberkusen. The German player, which costs £116 million, is expected to play an important playmaking role that the British stars want to play.
The addition of new players also means increasing competition for frontline positions.
Earlier this summer, Elliott confessed that he needed to prioritize progression in his career. He said:
“I have great ambitions. I want to participate in the World Cup (team), I’m still a successful player. I think it’s something I still need to review. I have to talk to everyone and see what’s going on.
“Obviously we’ve got a lot of new players in, so I don’t know if it’ll block the path for me. That’s something I’ll decide and see. Just like I said, check the situation.”
So far, Elliott has only played one minute of football. It’s coming at the final moments of victory against Newcastle. He stayed on the bench for a match between Bournemouth and Arsenal.
