Reuben Amorim is under pressure at Manchester United, with former Burnley and Everton boss Sean Dish being tilted to replace him with former Premier League striker Charlie Austin
Manchester United were urged to view Sean Dish as a possible replacement for Reuben Amorim. The Red Devils boss set fire to the fire after his side was knocked out of the Carabao Cup by League 2 side Grimsby on Wednesday.
Amorim is scheduled to hold a showdown speech with the club chief on Saturday following a poor start to the new season.
Miller Football understands United are reluctant to loot Amorim after less than a year of responsibilities, but accepts that he now has to oversee an immediate form. If United’s struggle continues and Amorim gets x, former Premier League striker Charlie Austin believes dish will be a good replacement.
“If that’s my decision, I’m chasing Zinedine Zidane,” Austin told Sky Sports. “I am trying to convince him to come to Manchester United, and it shouldn’t be necessary, but at this point you will.
“But in the end, there’s another manager you have to look at because of the situation where United is in. I’ll take Zidane and he’s the perfect guy for his job at Manchester United (as we’re talking about at this point, and probably not.

“My honest opinion is that you have to see what Sean Dish did in Burnley, what he did in Everton. He has stabilized the club. At least he’s going to put the structure there. What Manchester United needs right now is structure.
“That’s something they don’t have. I know that Manchester United fans will look at me and say, ‘Oh, I said I need Sean Dish,’ but no, it requires structure.
“It’s the guy who comes to a team that’s far better than what we see at the moment and makes the team better. Last night we didn’t see the team. We see players out there and do what they want.”
Austin’s comments come after Dutch himself claimed earlier this month that he could do a better job than Amorim.
“People keep talking about his (Amorim’s) philosophy and it’s not working. It’s fine to get to five or ten games, but once you get to 20 games, it clearly doesn’t work. I’ve brought three big hitters this summer so maybe I’m wrong.
“On the one hand, I like the fact that they’re sticking to it, and it’s Man United. You’re under a lot of pressure to get it right. But on the other hand, you don’t usually survive that situation. Amorims are given more time than most.
“In his first season of PEP, he has forgotten that he made so many changes to his team, played many formations and finished 13 points from the top. No one blinked.
