Manchester United may have won their first win of the Premier League season against Burnley, but the Portuguese coach has issued a worrying update to the three first-team players. Matheus Cunha was kicked out on suspicion of a hamstring injury in the first half of the match before Mason Mount was also carried on a break.

Amorim frowned when he chose to go with Joshua’s Zirkusie to replace the £74 million arrival Benjamin Sesco. However, the United boss confirmed that Sesco himself was struggling with fitness issues after the match.

Touching the fitness of Cunha, Mount and Sesko, he said: “I don’t know. We check them (Cunha and Mount). We need those guys to be really competitive… He (Sesko) finished the game with a convulsion.

Amorim and United are undoubtedly grateful for the international break as they take them off the fire line for weeks. However, when the Premier League returns, all eyes will be at Etihad Stadium and United will move to bitter rival Manchester City.

It was another afternoon when United was forced to huff and puff despite taking three points. The first half was overall promising for the Red Devils, who were supposed to have more than just one goal advantage on the break. However, it was the second half that the wheels began to fall (again) for United.

Lyle Foster leveled things out for visitors. However, the Lightning attacked twice as Jadon Anthony made Burnley’s second equalizer 2-2 to make it 2-2.

Amorim admitted that he is an emotional manager and that he will continue to wear the mind on his sleeves when United is struggling. He said:

“Today, football was fair – we were a better team. Some moments are really decisive. Sometimes we didn’t play very well, but you can see the effort on the pitch that you want to win.

The former sports manager was spotted cutting out annoyed figures, even when United was defeating the promoted side recently. He seemed particularly frustrated during the pause while Var Check and Bruno Fernandes were receiving penalties.

When asked why he didn’t see a spot kick, he replied: “I want to see the image of the fans. What should I do? At that moment I thought it was fair to win the game.
