Nicholas Jackson’s camp issued a prominent response to reports that Chelsea is ready to pull the plug on the proposed move of loans to Bayern Munich. The striker appeared to have been set to complete a loan move to the Bundesliga giants, but plans changed on Saturday afternoon with Chelsea’s lunchtime clash and Fulham.
Liam Dellup is rumored to be facing a long spell of side jobs, being carried on suspicion of hamstring injuries midway through the first half. Enzo Maresca claimed that Delap could go missing for up to eight weeks after a 2-0 victory, with several outlets claiming that the blow from the injury had reconsidered Chelsea.
Jackson traveled to Munich to complete the short-term switch and was scheduled to receive medical care on Saturday evening. Given that Chelsea is eager to abolish the proposed transfer and keep Jackson for themselves, his plans seem to have been hit.
Former Premier League ace Diomancy Kamala, who is part of Jackson’s agency, has reposted his story on Instagram, which appears to suggest that he will continue to push for the move to Bayern. The post said “We’re not back,” and Jackson suggested that he wouldn’t return to London by saying, “The plane won’t retreat.. Munich.”
Enzo Maresca was quized about the situation following the Fulham clash, but of course, the Chelsea manager was not in line with the situation. He said: “I’m just coming here, coming here, we’re sitting now, so we’re going to see. Honestly, I don’t know. When you have two strikers, that’s enough.
Meanwhile, Bayern sports director Max Ebal told Germany’s Sky: “We know what’s going to happen. Jackson is still here. We’ll take action after the game, but we can’t provide any details yet.”
However, there are suggestions that this development could further exacerbate the relationship between Jackson and Chelsea. Stephen Warnock told the BBC:
“You’re already in Munich, there’s excitement and fuss. You don’t want in one club, but you want as this other club, so your confidence is suddenly lifted and then you have to go back to what you don’t want.”
The club must complete all transfer transactions until 7pm on Monday.
