Manchester United are preparing a surprising £40 million dive for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez. The Red Devils previously received the opportunity to sign Argentine International early in the summer and deemed the move too expensive when his weekly wages were considered to be £200,000.
It was expected that Rammen would be signed by the transfer deadline on Monday evening. The 23-year-old is considered the successor to Thibaut Courtois. However, United are ready to approve a short-term solution that is more expensive at Martinez than future plans.
