Manchester United have agreed to a £40 million deal with Winger Alejandro Garnacho’s Chelsea. The two clubs agreed to a fixed fee of £40 million that ended Garnacho’s expulsion status at United after being eliminated from boss Reuben Amorim.

As part of the deal, United’s history is fourth-largest after Cristiano Ronaldo, Romell Lukaku and Angel Di Maria, with the Red Devils securing a 10% seller commission. United dug their heels, stuck to Garnacho’s ratings and rejected Chelsea’s first £25 million offer.

Garnacho was removed from United’s starting lineup due to a 1-0 Europa League final defeat to Tottenham, and publicly criticised Amorim shortly after his loss in Bilbao. It led to the 20-year-old winger being expelled by Amorim and to train in isolation with fellow outcasts Jadon Sancho, Antony, Tyrell Malacia and Marcus Rashford, who were omitted from United’s US preseason tour and added Barcelona on season loans.

Annoyed Garnacho said after losing to the Spurs:

“The finals affect (my decision), but the whole season, the club situation. I’m looking forward to the summer and trying to see what happens afterwards.”

His brother, Roberto, instigated the flames by stating on social media.

Garnacho was not involved in the opening of United’s season three game. The Red Devils then tracked the loss in a 1-1 draw to Fulham on Sunday.

It was before the greatest humiliation of Amorim’s tenure. On Wednesday, United was dumped from the Carabao Cup at the 4th tier Side Grimsby Town.

Amorim’s men went down 2-0 until the closing stage, with Brian Mbeumo and Harry Maguire scoring and sending the game to a penalty. However, a mistake from Mbeumo and fellow new signature Matheus Cunha booked his position in the second round, when Grimbsy won 12-11 on penalty.
