At the Cage’s encounter, Liverpool left all three points in the 83rd minute thanks to a mysterious free kick from Dominik Szoboszlai.
The Reds led the way towards the first international break of the season, scoring up to nine points from the opening three games. However, gunners will need to lick the wounds before going again when the Premier League resumes.
Here, Express Sports is running the rules against Anfield’s Arsenal, which was a disappointing afternoon for the Mikel Arteta man…
Arsenal Player Review
David Raya-5
By his top standards, the ball was unusually unstable and his selfish pass to Zubimendi led to Liverpool’s goal in the first half when the gunners were in control of the game.
Julien wood – 6
Another very robust defensive display against the lively Cody Gakupo from Timber. He also provided his support for future Noni Maduke.
Christian Mosquera-6
It’s not a game I’d like to show you in the first 5 minutes. However, Arsenal’s new boy treated the atmosphere and the game state very well.
Gabriel Magalges-6
As always, despite the stubbornness of his fellow centre-back, he sets out with early injuries. With the defensive line being led again, Mikel Arteta needs to keep him healthy considering Saliba’s injuries.
Riccardo calafiori -7
Perhaps his best defensive display in an Arsenal shirt kept Mohamed Sara quiet during the match. He makes it extremely difficult for Arteta to be seduced to play Miles Lewis Skelly instead.
Declan Rice-6
MR Condident cannot regret it. He broke Liverpool’s offense in the final third, and his main character ensured that his opponents had little time to form themselves on the ball.
Martin Zubimendi -5
A rather quiet afternoon for the Spanish midfielder, which proved to be a tough fight in the middle of the pitch.
Mikel Merino-6
A bold choice from Arteta to start Merino in the middle. But his presence meant he missed creativity from the likes of Martin Odegaard and Ebebeki Eze, but he gave gunner control in the middle of the pitch.
Noni Maduke -7
Along with Carafioli, he was Arsenal’s best player at Anfield. He gave Milos Kerquez a tough time on the right side, and helped the wood defensively when he needed it.
Gabriel Martinelli-4
Another very unfortunate day in Martinelli’s office, and again there was little restlessness from now on. There was a chance to fight back early, but Viktor Gyoker, running behind Liverpool’s defense, looked up and couldn’t find it.
Viktor Gyoker- 5
It’s a very quiet afternoon for the Swedish striker, Ibrahima Conate and Virgil van Dick are trapping him well.
Alternatives
Martin Odegaard -6
Eberechi Eze -6
