Liverpool has spent more than £300 million this summer and may not have been added to the offense yet, but Arne Slot says there is room for 17-year-old Lingmoha, who won the winner at Newcastle on Monday.
Rio ngumoha will play a growing role at Liverpool this season, claims Reds boss Arne Slot. The Premier League champions have jumped over £300 million this summer, bringing the offensive talent of tops like Florian Wiltz and Hugo Ekitique.
With Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo still still important to the team, and Federico Chiesa keeping the Put, teen starlet Ngumoha gets minutes in the face of fierce competition. However, when Slot asked questions about the possibility of ISAK’s arrival on Friday, he revealed his plan for the 17-year-old, who won the winner at Newcastle on Monday night.
“The whole press conference started with spending (questions) from the US and other clubs. Ultimately, the 16-year-olds from the academy are getting the winner, so that’s the beauty of football,” Slot said. “We sold a lot and a lot of room for him. Now there’s room for him. He’s going to show his qualities and he’ll be on the bench as well, as he’ll show him that in the upcoming games.”

It remains to be seen whether Ngumoha, who made his Premier League debut on Monday and celebrated his 17th birthday on Friday, is not ready to start his top flight game.
“It was a great goal for a 16-year-old,” Slot told Sky Sports after the game Monday. “Rio can finish very well at his age. I then heard someone say in the dressing room that he’d have taken the first touch, and he’s very confident. At his age, he’s a really good finisher.”
Meanwhile, Slot answered a quiz on Friday about his offensive options ahead of the home clash with Arsenal.
“As always, we try to sign players who can help us, but after the first two games, there’s no reason to complain or think we need more.
“But if we can strengthen our team, we’ll always try to do it for the right money and the right players. And we only have three or four days to go now.
