Kobbie Mainoo wants more play time than he offers at Manchester United and it appears that Napoli will move away from the club where he is interested in his signature

Manchester United head coach Reuben Amorim hopes Cobby Mineau will be staying at Old Trafford. The Red Devils boss was stubborn at his press conference ahead of the clash on his side at Burnley despite growing speculation at a possible exit.

Napoli is one of the clubs that are said to be interested in signing Mineu with the midfielders who are desperately trying to do ahead of the next summer’s World Cup. The 20-year-old was not selected ahead of the equipment before Ruben Amorim’s latest England squad in September, falling behind numbers like Elliot Andereson and Adam Wharton.

Mainoo has not played any Premier League minutes this season yet. And the starlet tells United Chiefs that he wants to move the Serie forever.

Antonio Conte’s side is ready to offer a four-year contract that he signed star player Scott McTominay 12 months ago. And Mainoo hopes to see similar progress if the £50 million move is materialized in negotiations with United about an extension of his current contract, which is stagnant.

However, Amorim attempts to pour cold water into the movement suggestion, saying the clubs need to use at their own freedom. The Portuguese coach called for his accusations to fight for his place.

“I want you to stay at Cobbie,” Amorim said. “He needs to fight for his place.

And since you need kobbie, that doesn’t change. I understand that players who are not playing at this moment are disappointed.

“Everyone will have the same opportunity. You have to fight that week.”

However, United will see some exits on the last day of their summer transfer period. The club agreed to a £40 million deal to see Alejandro Garnacho set out for Chelsea and the transfer is nearly complete.

Rasmus Hojlund and Antony will also be leaving loans for Old Trafford. The deals between Napoli and Real Betis are respectively expected before the deadline, and neither are included in the team this season.

United hopes to find destinations for Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia. Both players spent time on loan last season and are not involved with the club’s first team this summer. Rome is interested in a deal to sign former Borussia Dortmund star Sancho.
