Estebao joined this summer from Palmeiras after already building a reputation as one of South America’s most exciting young talents.
“What an exciting player he is,” the former Chelsea player said.
“I saw him play in the Club World Cup, he was in person, he was raw. Then I saw him put on a Chelsea shirt and I heard him react from the crowd.
“He gets it, he drives the player and he gives me a Neymar vibe, that type of energy.”
Estebao scored an outstanding goal as the Blues defeated 2-1 before moving to England against Chelsea at the Palmeiras Club World Cup.
“When you come to watch football, you want to see players that excite you, he excites these Chelsea fans.”
The teenager is not an exciting addition to the team of 24-year-old Enzo Maresca, who is of average age.
Liam Dellup also arrived in the summer and was demoted from the town of Ipswich after being fired for 12 league goals.
Cole believes the 22-year-old could be one of the signatures of the season.
“I think he could be one of the best signatures of the season. I love this kid,” he said.
“I love his attacks and he’s getting everything. If he plays you in anything, he’s trying to win.
“I can see the defender when they play against him just by shaking their heads because he doesn’t give them space.
“He’s a very flip-flop center and by the end of the season, I think we’ll look back at that signature and ‘Yes, that was the top’. ”
