Chelsea defender Mark Kukulera has not officially announced that Spain International has put the pen on paper, but has made it clear that a new deal has been agreed.
Mark Kukulera confirmed that he has signed a new contract with Chelsea. Cucurella joined Brighton’s Blues in 2022 for a price of around £63 million.
And the left-back solidified himself as a key player under Enzo Maresca, playing the biggest few minutes of Chelsea stars last season. Cucurella’s contract was scheduled to run until 2028, but he has now agreed to an extension after it became clear that Al-Nassr was interested in signing him.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s side was said to be planning a dive for the Spanish International, but Chelsea moved to end speculation. The Bruce has yet to make a formal announcement, but Kukulera confirmed the news after Chelsea defeated West Ham 5-1 on Friday.
“Yes, that’s over,” said Kukurera, who turned Spanish media into Thor after Chelsea’s victory at London Stadium. “We’ve already done it. I’m very happy. The club has given me confidence. I’m so happy to be here. Hopefully we’ll have a great year.”
Cucurella supported Joao Pedro’s opening match against the Hammer, with Pedro Neto, Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caiceto and Trevoh Chalobah also on target. But they were hit after Cole Palmer was injured in the warm-up.

The palmer was planned to start but had to be replaced in a short period of time due to issues with gro diameter. After the game, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca said:
“Today he tried to warm up, but he felt something, so we preferred not to make it worse without taking any risks, and we’ll see next time whether that’s important. That’s a gro radius issue.
“It’s already a palace game where he wasn’t 100%, but he tried to put in a big effort for the club, the team and the fans.
Looking back at the results, Maresca added: “The start wasn’t the best I planned with Cole Palmer’s injury and I admitted the goal five minutes later, but the response from the players is very good for me.
“We especially got to see how confident they are about their game plans. They stuck to the game plans on and off the ball and continued the same way. They were so happy and very impressed.”
