Nottingham Forest Manager Nuno Espirito Santo frowned on Friday after speaking about a change in relations with club owner Evangelos Marinakis.
The rift between Nuno Espirito Santo and Edu is said to lie behind Nottingham Forest’s unrest.
Forest enjoyed a fantastic campaign under Nuno at 2024-25, and Nuno led them to European qualifications. However, speculation spread on Friday that the Portuguese coach could be rejected as his relationship with Marinakis fell apart.
Nuno then blew the flames away at an explosive press conference Friday afternoon, saying:
“It’s not very good this season, but I always believe that dialogue and what you say and your opinions are always valid.

When asked specifically about reports from abroad claiming he could lose his job, Nuno replied: “There’s fire where there’s smoke, so I know how things work, but I’m here to do my job.”
The athletics shed more light on the situation, with new reports that the club’s new global heads, Nuno and Edu, had “epic fallouts” since the Brazilian arrived at the club.

The duo is said to have descended on the wrong foot, and to their surprise, their relationship may be beyond repair, and Nuno refuses to hide his feelings for Edu from the former Arsenal chief himself and others at the club.
Marinakis is understood to be in the middle, but the report adds that he is effectively “sided” with the EDU. It remains to be seen whether he will wield x at Nuno, where he plans to take Nottingham Forest to Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon on a next Premier League fixture.
The match is expected to be highly billed in Forest, which replaces Crystal Palace in the Europa League, following an intervention from UEFA.
