Nuno Espirito Santo’s future in Nottingham Forest is questionable, with Celtic manager Brendan Rogers emerging as a potential option to replace him on the ground in the city
Nottingham Forest reportedly targeted Celtic boss Brendan Rogers to replace Nuno Espirito Santo after admitting that his relationship with owner Evangelos Marinakis had collapsed.
Prior to his trip to Crystal Palace in Forest, he said:
“But I always believe that dialogue and your opinions and your opinions are always valid because my concern is the team and season that precedes us, but our relationship has changed. I think everyone in the club should be together, but this is not reality.”
There is also tension over the forest transfer business of Nuno and New Global Head of Football Edu, and the windows slowly begin before four new signatures are confirmed over the past nine days.
As a result, Nuno’s future is now highly doubtful, and the Sun reports that Rogers can replace him. According to the report, Marinakis is a huge admirer of the former Liverpool manager and is currently featured in the second spell in charge of Celtic.

Marinakis is said to have “stopped Rogers” in the final year of his 51-year-old Celtic contract. There have also been rumors of dissatisfaction between Rogers and the board, but he insists that he “has no chance” he will leave.
“There’s absolutely no chance,” Rogers said. “There’s no chance. We did it before. It didn’t work! Hearing, I said from the first day, and this has no hidden message, it’s not. I said it’s three years. I’ve been here for three years.
“People try to find that conflict with me and the board, me and anyone. That’s not really the case. The boards of football clubs for many years managed the financial aspects of the game and brought the club to impeccable levels.
“My job as a football manager is to actually drive and demand, live in a cycle where we understand that we lose some players, but there is no such big impact that sometimes seems to do.
“And that means we can just lose a big player and then bring in other people instead of waiting, so I want to be with us, but certainly there is no conflict.
“In the long run, I don’t think as much as my manager. This season is about to begin. I just want to think about football. I don’t want to think about contracts. Think about football.
