Bruno Fernandez drove Manchester United to a chance to lead from the first half penalty spot.
Gary Neville alleged that Bruno Fernandez burned his penalty against Fulham against Manchester United after umpire Chris Cabana hit the midfielder before kicking.
United were given a great opportunity to break the deadlock in the first half after being given a penalty after a VAR review, and Calvin Bassey decided he had thrown the Mason Mount into the ground inside the box.
Fernandez stepped up to get a spot kick, but gradually walked backwards and ran, Cabana accidentally bumped into him to get out of the way.
A replay of the clip shows Kavanagh appearing to be apologizing, but Fernandes appears to be clearly furious, gestured with his hands and complains that he has interrupted him.
Fernandez then skied his efforts at the bar. This was a rare moment for a Portuguese playmaker, and he became famous for taking a near-uncharging penalty.

And Neville argued that Fernandez was thrown out in the confusion with Cabana, and said the playmaker felt the action from the judge was “clumsy.”
“He picked up the ball and then he tied it up a bit with the referee,” the former Manchester United star told Sky Sports. “He accidentally gave him a bit of a bump, and he’s coming back. It surprised him a bit.
“I thought it was because the referee was adjusting the player at the edge of the box, but he’s still out for the referee because he finds it a bit clumsy.”
As the former defender said, former United star Ashley Young backed up Neville’s claims in the studio.
Fans have since spoken about the incident on social media, but some say it shouldn’t be as important as deflecting professional football like Fernandez.
“What if Bruno Fernandez was focused on getting a penalty rather than whining because the referee brushed him? He might have scored.”
Another addition: “If Bruno Fernandez can postpone something as small as he accidentally bumps into him, he needs to sort himself out.
Even one United fan refused to blame Cabana, saying, “From the time he hit the ref and complained, I knew he was tired.”
