Thomas Frank was asked about Tottenham’s plans in the transfer market after defeating Manchester City after missing out on a deal for Arsenal-bound Ebeki Eze
Spurs boss Thomas Frank claimed that Ebeki Eze had not been told before his team conveyed a message of intent to Etihad.
The first half goals by Brennan Johnson and Joa Pargigna meant that Frank began his reign with a Premier League victory. Londoners were watching a £67.5 million bid to land Crystal Palace Winger Eze, hijacked by its bitter rival Arsenal the week.
And President Daniel Levy was targeted by angry travel fans despite the joy of another away victory on Pep Guardiola’s side.
Frank said: “I have a few questions about the transfer market and I think it’s safe to say why isn’t it. But it’s very easy. I don’t use a single word about players who aren’t in the club.

“It is very important that we have a group of great groups, and I have quality players that are very pleased.
“We’ve supported two great players. Can we improve that? It’s perfect. If you can’t, then we have very good players as shown today.”
The two goals for the 10-minute final half turned to Tottenham’s path.
Frank said: “I’m very pleased. I thought the first 35 minutes were pretty even and the city was just a little higher. After that, we scored a very good goal and the momentum changed.
“In the second half, this was very good because it’s a very tough place to go. We were very aggressive in the press. I like the way it is. It’s very uncomfortable.”
