Liverpool sold Darwin Nunes to Al Hilal earlier this summer, and the Reds hope to bring in Newcastle striker Alexander Isaac as his successor, but the deal is stagnant
Darwinnes has an impressive start in Saudi Arabia, with the former Liverpool striker finding the back of the net on Saturday in Al Hilal’s final preseason friendly. Nunez joined Al-Hilal earlier this month in a transaction worth around £46.3 million.
The 26-year-old scored in all three pre-season times with his new club. Nunez scored the target in victory at Aarau, Waldhof Mannheim and Al-Fayha. Nunez struggled with consistency during his stay at Anfield, managing just 40 goals in 143 games in all competitions.
And he had to defend a bit of a partial role under Arne Slot last season. Of his 47 appearances, 30 have come out of the bench. Liverpool has already brought new advances this summer, spending £69 million on Hugo Ekichique, and they also hope to sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isaac.
However, they have already been rejected by the magpies with an offer of £110 million, and they value ISAK, which is close to £150 million. Swedish International is pushing for the move, releasing a statement claiming Newcastle had broken its promise by not allowing him to leave.

“The reality is that promises have been made and the club has known my position for a long time. Now it’s misleading to act like these issues are emerging.
“If the promises are broken and trust is lost, the relationship cannot last. That’s what it is for me for now, and why change is in the best interests of everyone, not just myself.”
However, Newcastle fights back, claiming that “there are no conditions for sales this summer” and that it “doesn’t predict those conditions” before the transfer window closes.
Meanwhile, manager Eddie Howe hopes that the situation will be resolved “quite quickly.” “He won’t be part of the team this weekend,” Howe said ahead of Newcastle’s clash with Liverpool on Monday.
“The club must act in Newcastle United’s best interests. It appears that in every situation it’s coming to an end, or it will end pretty quickly.”
