Manchester Ubited won’t win the first two Premier League matches of the new season.
Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville argued that goalkeeper Altai Bayindeal’s ongoing struggle should be concerned about Reuben Amorim’s side. Bay Indeal took responsibility for Arsenal’s winner during the opening weekend of the season, and had another nervous moment against Fulham on Sunday.
Türkiye’s international buy-in deals flap once more into the corner of Craven Cottage. Take this opportunity to take advantage of striker Rodrigo Muniz, but that didn’t stop Neville from worrying.
“It’s not going well for Bayindir. United need to sort this out. “He’s 27 years old and not young for goalkeepers. Your ‘When the keeper is flapping that way, it puts pressure on your defense.”
After Bruno Fernandez skied a United penalty, the score was on level at Bay Indeal’s nervous moment. The game ended full squares and Emile Smith Lowe’s equalizer cancels Muniz’s own target.
United are sitting 16th at the table, only one point from two games. Last season’s first choice keeper, Andre Onana, has returned to the bench after missing out on Arsenal completely, but the new number one could still arrive in the next seven days.

Gianluigi Donnaruma, the keeper of Saint-Germain in Italy and Paris, had emerged as a surprise target just to help Manchester City take part in the pursuit of Champions League winners. Royal Antwerp’s Senne Ranmen could become a United man, and the young Belgian stopped his team’s Sunday afternoon victory.
Last season’s Antwerp Runmen’s form won him his first senior Belgian call-up in March, but he was absent from a match against Meheren over the weekend. Antwerp finished the game with 10 guys after former Leicester midfielder Dennis Praett was sent off, but they still won 2-1 and continued their unbeaten season.
“I’m focusing on goalkeepers,” United boss Reuben Amorim said in the match the day after the team’s draw in West London. “Like all managers, I look at the amount of training, the preseason, what I see in the game and try to decide who is the best goalkeeper to use in the game.
“You can see it on both sides,” he said when asked about Bay Indeal targeting corners. “There’s a goal in the goal kick. There’s two situations where you can score, a penalty and a corner kick. In every game in the Premier League, there’s always a situation in the corner.”
United have another league match before the deadline. After a League Cup trip to Grimsby mid-week, they welcome Burnley to Old Trafford on Saturday with former United lender Martin DeLavuka starting Claret’s first two games between the sticks.
