Newcastle United are desperately trying to sign two strikers before the summer transfer window closes as Alexander Isaac waits for Liverpool to return with another bid

Open striker Jorgen Strand was rejected by open striker Jorgen Strand as wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen refused to step up his efforts to advance before the summer transfer period closes.

On Thursday, the Magpie was revealed to be keen to sign Norwegian International after missing a string of other strikers. Newcastle is increasingly desperate to sign the striker after Joanne Pedro and Liam Dellup join Chelsea, Hugo Ekicchike signs Liverpool and Benjamin Sesco chooses Manchester United.

They lost Calm Wilson on a free transfer to West Ham, but Alexander Isaac is in exile and refuses to play for the club while hoping to move to Liverpool. Eddie Howe was forced to play Anthony Gordon as the central attacker in the opening game of the season, reinforcements were needed before the windows closed on September 1st.

Newcastle is following Yoane Wissa, but two bids have been denied by Brentford, and the latest bid worth £40 million. They are currently experiencing similar resistance in wolves. The wolves knocked back Strandlersen’s £50 million worth of offers.

Express and Starr say the wolf doesn’t think he’s available at any price. Strandlersen has not promoted the transfer, but is reportedly agreeing to personal terms with Newcastle last week.

This situation is very important to Isaac’s hope of forcing a move to Liverpool. Newcastle has to sign two strikers to get the Swedes to leave, but they have been frustrated every turn so far.

Liverpool saw a bid worth £110 million that was rejected by Newcastle in early August, but has yet to return another offer. Magpies value ISAK at £150 million, but are only sold if there is a replacement.

Strand Larsen joined Wolves only this summer from Celta Vigo after the club paid £23 million and turned it into a permanent transfer where the club first spent £2.5 million on loan. He is valued at £60 million after scoring 14 Premier League goals in 35 appearances last season, but it remains to be seen whether he is willing to win cash to first-choice No. 9 in the second half of the window.

Wolf boss Vitor Pereira doesn’t want to lose Strandlersen, who started Premier League matches this season. “He’s a very important player to us. I’ll never talk to him. He’s our player,” he said.

“When I see him in training, he’s committed to everyone and committed to his team. He’s a fighter. He likes to win. He’s ready to play tomorrow.”

This is the same case with Brentford, where manager Keith Andrews wants to protect Wissa. “What’s going on is happening in every club I imagine. The up and down of the land, the destructive nature of it. But the focus is on the group tomorrow,” he said Monday.

“So, I won’t be involved. But as far as I’m concerned, there hasn’t been any move in any way and I am totally hoping that Joanne will be here next Tuesday.”
