Liverpool refuses to pay the price, but “preparing new Alexander Isaac” bid | Soccer | Sports

Liverpool is said to be preparing to present a British transfer record bid to Newcastle in an attempt to convince the Magpie to sell Alexander Isaac. The Reds have already signed Hugo Ekichique and have been following the striker’s signature this summer despite previously denying a £110 million bid.

Isak bagged his 23 Premier League goals last season, but later reportedly told the Club Chiefs he wanted to go ahead and sign another team. The 25-year-old missed Newcastle’s preseason Far East tour with a “minor thigh injury,” but later told his boss he had no intention of reintegrating with his team. Even a meeting between Isaac and the club owner prior to the clash between Newcastle and Liverpool on Monday evening failed to deliver the results the Magpie wanted, and Isaac doubled his desire to leave the Northeast Giants.

Liverpool’s second offer exceeds the £130m threshold, according to TBR Football. Also, depending on the included add-on, it can be close to £140 million.

However, the Reds are not planning to pay £150 million in Newcastle. Currently, they are demanding prolific scorers.

Newcastle is hoping for a new bid from Liverpool and is doing its best to bring in the two strikers ahead of the summer transfer deadline next Monday.

Isaac lacked a Newcastle Premier League meets Liverpool. The Merseyside team took the 3-2 victory courtesy of the 16-year-old Rionugmo’s late goal.

That match followed a 0-0 draw for Newcastle against Aston Villa over the opening weekend of the campaign.

And after the Liverpool match, Magpie boss Eddie Howe admitted that Isaac would have “make a difference between the two games.” The former Bournemouth manager also explained that between the club and Isaac, “it’s not the party of stories that are happening.”

Last week, Isak wrote on Instagram on Newcastle:

“When a promise is broken and trust is lost, the relationship cannot last. That’s what it is for me for now. And why change is in the best interests of everyone, not just myself.”

And Newcastle responded in their own statement when they wrote: “Alex is clear that he has a contract and that no commitment has been made by club officials that Alex can leave Newcastle United this summer.”
