Job Bellingham’s parents Dennis and Mark reportedly were angry and upset after Borussia Dortmund’s son’s Bundesliga debut against St. Pauli on Saturday
Borussia Dortmund changed protocols after Job Bellingham’s father caused a scene following the disappointing start to the Bundesliga season.
Dortmund began the campaign on Saturday with a 3-3 draw at St. Pauli after collapsed in the final stages. Nico Kovac’s side appeared to be cruising 3-1, but admitted the penalty and sent the man as St. Pauli roared to score twice in the final four minutes of normal time.
Bundesliga’s sinful bundesliga debut was for Bellingham. Blingham was carried halftime by Kovac as part of a double replacement. The 19-year-old midfielder followed the brothers’ footsteps by joining Dortmund on a £32 million move from Sunderland this summer, but his first start didn’t go to plan.
The match in Hamburg was viewed by Job’s parents, Dennis and Mark. Dennis and Mark were unhappy with Kobak’s decision and outcome. Sky Sports Germany reported that Mark had made Dortmund sports director Sebastian Kahle known for his loud voice in the hallway outside the dressing room after the final mouth whi.
Build said that his son’s agent and advisor Mark demanded that he speak to Kobak, who “didn’t make a secret of his opinion.” It was an embarrassing situation for the club. The club acted by changing who could access the dressing room.
“We got Job Bellingham because we had a trusting relationship with our parents over the years. Now the family wanted to fly especially for their son’s first Bundesliga match and meet Job after the match,” club managing director Lars Ricken told Sky90.
“They were standing in the hallway of the locker room and had an emotional conversation with Sebastian, but it didn’t really matter given this relationship.
“However, in the future, we will not get in trouble by commenting on such news, as we will allow players, coaches and staff to access the locker room area. But today everything is resolved and there is no drama.”
Kovac replaced Karim Adeyemi and Bellingham at halftime, saying he managed to remove the “four other players” after the match. “We have failed to match our opponents in terms of physicality and strength,” he said. “We played too slowly and rarely were exploited. All of the goals we score come from individual quality.”
He added: “We experienced exactly what we told our team, it gets intense and we have to work physically hard to get something.
“We weren’t as focused as we liked for the whole 90 minutes, and we had a 3-1 lead and made the most of our quality players as far as finishes go.
