Manchester United star Cobbie Mineau hasn’t played a minute this season yet. The midfielder has been open to leaving Old Trafford before the transfer window closes
The Manchester United star, compared to Zinedine Zidane, is reportedly considering leaving the club this summer after being left on the bench for the first two games of the new season.
Kobbie Mainoo is the unused replacement for United’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal and a 1-1 draw with Fulham, with Reuben Amorim preferring Bruno Fernandez, Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte before him.
As a result, Talksport reports that the 20-year-old is currently open to leave United in the final week of the transfer window. Mainoo has yet to agree to a new contract with the club, and his current contract is expected to expire in 2027.
United legend Paul Shoals previously compared Mineu to Zidane and spoke to the Guardian last year.
“I’ve heard there are young young people who have their own youth against Casemiro in training, and sometimes they’re better than him. But you have to go out and do it. When I first saw him, I remember that calm: the way he received the ball with confidence.

“That calm didn’t come for me as fast as Cobby. I think that came five or six years into my career. That’s what surprises me. He’s so relaxed. The game is so easy for him.
“That calmness is essential throughout his career. It’s within you. If he bows his head, the sky is the limit of this young man. And he looks like the type to stay in a uniform keel.”
Amorim was quized about Mine after Fulham’s match and warned England International that he was competing for the team’s location with club captain Fernandez. “He’s now fighting for his position with Bruno and I’m changing two midfielders,” Amorim said.
“I wanted to score a goal so I did Mason Mount (play) there. When the change made it felt like the team needed to go back to one of the midfielders near Bruno.
“So he needs to fight for his position with Bruno. (It’s) he should be at Manchester United. (Sometimes) he’s going to play with Bruno.
