Senne Lammens to Man UTD Transfer has a surprising twist after Gary Neville Inquiry | Football | Sports

Senne Lammens is scheduled to complete a £17 million transfer to Manchester United this week after missing out on a Royal Antwerp Belgian Professional League match against KV Mechelen on Sunday. However, the arrival of Runmen’s Old Trafford can be given a surprising twist that may make supporters feel overwhelmed.

United have serious goalkeeper issues. Andre Onana appears to have lost her position as an unruly starter, but Altay Bayindir also struggles to persuade him. It was believed that Red Devils accelerated Lammens’ pursuit to address the issue, and accelerated Ruben Amorim to a new starting stopper.

However, after speaking with club figures, Gary Neville insists that the 23-year-old could start a life in the UK as a back-up option for United.

“I asked about it this morning and I spoke to a few people at United,” Neville told NBC Sports ahead of his kickoff at Fulham on Sunday.

“The sense is that the new boy (runmen) who starts on the bench will probably be number two, but they absolutely need No. 1.”

“United’s main priorities are still goals and I think Cunha, Mbeumo and Sesko are going to do that.

“We think Onana will start today (vs. Fulham), but that’s not true. Bay Indeal came last week, and he makes a lot of mistakes.”

Onana traveled to Craven Cottage and didn’t get back in a 1-1 draw with Fulham, despite sitting instead.

Bay Indeal kept his place and again looked comfortable in the corner, following his failure in a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal.

Neville suggests that if minutes are revealed to be unusual this season, United’s exit could be pushed ahead of the summer transfer deadline.

He added:

“They have to deal with that. And the midfielder slot in the middle next to Bruno (Fernandez) are two things that you need to sort this week (before the transfer deadline).

The Runmens will be their fifth and final arrival in the summer, following Matheus Cunha, Diego Leon, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.

Amorim also wants a midfielder, but player sales are not wanted to increase their budget. Several players are waiting for a permanent exit.
