Newcastle United have seen many players turn down moves to the club this summer.
Manchester United icon Rio Ferdinand is confused as to why so many targets have rejected Newcastle United’s offer this summer. The current window was an unfortunate headache for Magpie Manager Eddie Howe.
As if the drama surrounding Alexander Isaac’s desire to join Liverpool wasn’t taxing enough, many transfer targets spurred the club and made the favourable others. Players like Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Hugo Ekitike and perhaps most heartbreakingly, Benjamin Sesko all turned down the move to St. James Park.
Given that Magpies currently compete in the Champions League and won the Carabao Cup last season, their recruiting team must be curious. Ferdinand is another well-known person who can’t guess why many players avoided the club.

Speaking about his show, Rio Ferdinand Present, when he quized on why players continue to reject Newcastle, the former England skipper replied:
“Why don’t anyone want to go there? What do you know? Northeast, what is the place where you play football? If you tell some players, they say, “You go to St James Park every week at Full House and are supported by the hills.” ”
Despite many rejections, United were able to secure Anthony Elanga’s signature from Nottingham Forest for £55 million, Chronicle Live reports.
Howe was also able to add new central defender Marick Chiau, who joined from AC Milan for around £34.6 million to his team, which he painted 0-0 with Aston Villa on Saturday. Jacob Ramsey is currently also participating from the villa.
Newcastle is also reportedly hot shortly after Brentford forward Joan Wissa, but it’s hard to ignore the ongoing saga in Superstar Isak.
The Swedish striker was significantly absent from a 0-0 draw with Villa, with Howe using Anthony Gordon as an improvisation center forward, adjacent to Harvey Burns and Elanga on the wings.
It appears unlikely that Isaac will wear United jersey again after declaring that he refused to play for the club. However, Hau maintains Door Ajar if he decides to engage for further discussion with Isaac and the club.
“Nothing has changed. The doors are open well,” Howe said. “He has to decide what he wants to do. We want a solution. We need that clarity. You don’t need any kind of distraction.
“I don’t control it. There’s one person who can control it. Wait and see. I’ve made my stance clear. I’m focused on the team.”
Magpies are scheduled to welcome Liverpool to St James Park for their next Premier League match on Monday. Given the incredible tension between the two clubs this season, the real-life champions can expect a fiery reception.
