Reuben Amorim saw his Manchester United side beat at home by Arsenal in the opening game of the Premier League, but declared that they were better than the gunners
Reuben Amorim claims that Manchester United “deserves more” after the loss to Arsenal, and that they were “a better team” despite coming out at the wrong end of the results over the weekend.
The Gunners rocked at Old Trafford, leaving all three points behind thanks to the first half header of Riccardo Calfioli. United were unable to find an equalizer as they showed off their summer signature.
Patrick Dorgu had the new arrivals Maceus Kuña and Brian Mbeumo appear to be energized in the final third, but their efforts had not led to a distribution of looting. Amorim is under pressure to improve results and performance in the first year.
He praised the players after having more than 60% of his ownership and scored 22 shots in goal.

“There are a lot of things that don’t watch the video we need to work with. I’m really proud of the players. We were more aggressive and brave. I think Brian (Mbeumo) and Cunha helped a lot in certain moments. Even when the stadium is tense, we will continue to play and help us in the future.
“They (the fans) want that feeling again. We’re going to Old Trafford and not getting bored. We have to get more wins than last season, but they want to see something and feel something.”
United’s first display on Sunday was in 14 years to record more than 20 shots in a Premier League game. Ironically, it was the last time they beat Arsenal 8-2 under Irish Alex Ferguson, but on this occasion their efforts were not able to see them score once.
Mikel Arteta was about to finish three consecutive second-place finish runs, praised his team for his ability to delve into three points and claim the game. He states: “Teams have to find that resilience throughout the 10-month season in different contexts so they can do that. Of course, we have to improve a lot and that happens quickly.”
