Manchester United saw the opening Premier League of the season against Arsenal, determined by a familiar issue, but Reuben Amorim refuses to take Gary Neville’s advice
Reuben Amorim claimed that Gary Neville is happy with his goalkeeper despite claiming that “obvious issues” will continue to undermine Manchester United’s efforts this season.
United launched their Premier League campaign on Sunday with a 1-0 loss by Arsenal, achieving their only goal of the match from an error by Altey Bay Indeal. The United Keeper flaps the horns of Declan Rice and gave Riccardo Carafioli a simple header to place the gunner first.
Bay Indeal was not on the team at Andre Onana following the injury-affected preseason while 39-year-old Tom Heaton was on the bench. Neiville hasn’t been convinced since both Onana and Bay Indil joined the club and revealed his views.
“It’s going to continue to unite,” he said in a Sky Sports commentary. “The goalkeeper needs to be strong. I think he’ll complain that he’s getting a foul. He has a player in front of him. There’s a lot of pushes and pushes going on. I think your goalkeeper has to be strong.”

Speaking later on Gary Neville’s podcast, he said:
“In our 20 years at Mann United, we were two periods (Peter) Schmeichel and (Edwin) Vandell SAR, in between, we had seven or eight goalkeepers in the six, seven or eight years. Points when the defender made a mistake.
“I don’t know where they’re in the PSR. They seem to have a little more money. They don’t need to make a little more money magical next week or so.
However, when asked if he was happy with his goalkeeper, Amorim was solid. “Today we proved we can win against every game in the Premier League, especially against a great team like Arsenal. We were a better team,” he said.
And pressing whether he’d try to sign before the windows close in two weeks, Amorim simply stated, “I’m happy with the three goalkeepers.”
United asked this summer about Emi Martinez of Aston Villa and Gianluigi Donnaruma of Paris Saint-Germain, and Neville thinks it will be a big step. “The two people who saw who was mentioned last week are Martinez and Donnaruma,” he said.

“The reason you’re going to be a good goalkeeper for Manchester United isn’t necessarily because you think they’re the best goalkeeper in Europe or they’re surprised. I think they have a big personality and character. You’ve seen Donna Ramma in the European final in Italy.
“Martinez played in the World Cup final and won the World Cup. They play under extreme pressure, have great character and character, and leave with goalkeeper arrogance and dominance.
