Newcastle United will make another attempt to secure the services of Swedish striker Alexander Isaac in preparation for future clashes with Leeds on Elland Road over the weekend.
Eddie Howe confirmed Friday that club owner PIF would not allow Newcastle to start the first half of the new season without a senior striker. This means that Isaac’s potential movement to Liverpool will not be approved unless a replacement is found before the relocation window closes.
By the end of last week, it seemed that Howe had run out of options after receiving exorbitant demands for wolves Jorgenstrandlersen and Chelsea forward Nicholas Jackson.
While Liverpool’s game preparations have been tightened, ISAK’s status has been put on hold, but United are preparing for a second bid from the Reds before the transfer window closes.
Hau has not yet given up on ISAK and will have further discussions with Sweden International.
It remains unclear if ISAK is willing to rejoin the team after his controversial decision last month to skip the club’s Far East tour and train alone in Spain.
St James Park insiders suggest that the only way Isaac will ensure his transition to Liverpool is by submitting an offer of around £150 million.

“They’re getting stronger about their players’ evaluations and how players leave the football club. All of this is important. They’re also important for this situation and the future.”
Isak issued a strong statement on Instagram last week, fully revealing that he is keen to leave Newcastle.
And when asked if PIF would release its own response, Howe commented: “I don’t think they’re trying to make a big overall statement, but they just respond to this individual statement.”
