Tottenham still hopes that while Rivar is eager to Marc Guech, Ebeki Eze’s contract will be concluded, but Crystal Palace won’t let them go without a fight
Tottenham is pushing hard to close the £60 million deal for Ebebeki Eze, but you may have to wait until the weekend. Crystal Palace also plays hardball for England defender Mark Guech, and discussions with Liverpool fell into a potential move towards Anfield.
The palace chair wants to keep the prizes up until after the start of the Europa Congress League campaign, which will compete with Fredrikstad on Thursday.
The most pressing deal is Eze, who revealed he is keen on the Spurs, and the deal – likely to be £55 million and add-ons – is being prepared after negotiations.
The Spurs were pushing hard to agree on the deal, but the palace is determined to take charge of both Eze and Guehee before the end of the window and direct them.
The 27-year-old Ez is in demand, but the Palace wants to replace Leicester’s Bilal El Cannas and Club Bruges midfielder Christos Zaris alongside the radar.

As Parish has gained a reputation as being a tough negotiator, both transactions must be made on the terms of the palace, and Guech’s future can be decided on the last day of the window.
Guehi has only one year left on the contract and Liverpool is enthusiastic, but next year he is a free agent so he has to be a reasonable price.
The Palace continues to play both players through uncertainty and despite doubts about the build-up, Eze started at Chelsea and was unlucky to eliminate effort with the attraction of the goal.
Palace boss Oliver Glasner later claimed that Eze’s £68 million purchase clause had expired and is now in the hands of the club.
Eze clearly feels he feels right when he moves ahead, pushes himself towards England and plays in the Champions League.
Tottenham has always appreciated him, but after James Madison’s long-term knee injury really forced his hand.
Despite Eze being a huge fan of Mikel Arteta and knowing that his head was intrigued by the Emirates, they are now leading the pursuit with Arsenal in the background.
But Arsenal is not currently in a position to do another big deal. It keeps the Spurs in the way to get in and win an England star.
