Manchester United is deeply connected to the movement of Brighton midfielder Carlos Valleva this summer.
Carlos Valleva made his remarks after featured in the opening game of Brighton’s season, despite his strong interest in services from Manchester United. The Red Devils have spent much of this summer, diverging over £200 million with Benjamin Sesco, Brian Mbeumo and Matthew Cunha.
Reuben Amorim expects the trio to offer United more cutting edge in the final third, and he is also keen to strengthen his midfield, with Valeva emerging as their top target earlier this summer.
They were consulted with Brighton earlier this month, but United are reluctant to see the seagull pay the tough £120 million. However, according to reports, Baleba is keen to travel to Old Trafford and is ready to push it forward, even if it means waiting until next summer.
Despite continuing speculation about his future, Valeva started off for Brighton on Saturday as he tied Fulham 1-1 in the Premier League opening match. The 21-year-old then joined social media after the game, posting a series of snaps in the caption.
“I was having fun playing at home with the boys. There’s nothing new here: my number and haircut.”

Baleba’s caption appears to be a reference to a comment made before the game by Brighton boss Fabian Hazeler when he was quized into the future of the midfielder. When asked if he believed Baleba would stay in Brighton, Hurzeler replied. “I’m extremely confident.
“We didn’t see any change. He changed his hair. I think that’s the change he’s made in the last two weeks. But he seems to be in a really good place. He’s having fun with his teammates. He enjoys being a Brighton player.
Amorim also tackled the rumors before United’s opener against Arsenal. When asked this summer if he wanted to bring in a new midfielder, he replied.
“They’re working really well. We have different players for that position, so we’re ready to win every game with the players. I think Mason Mount can play in that position if they want something different.
“But we’re going to know (between) during the season. There are players to deal with in order to win the game in the Premier League.”
