Arsenal reportedly rejected the offer of a sensational swap deal from Real Madrid involving William Saliba and Rodrigo. The gunners have been linked to the Brazilian’s movements over the summer, and Mikel Arteta hopes to add a new winger to his team ahead of the deadline next month.

Madrid then sought to capitalize on that interest by proposing William Saliba’s stunning swap deal. The French are one of the main targets of the Spanish club to strengthen their defense.

They wanted to sign him for free in 2027 or with a shortened fee the following summer, when he only had one year left in his contract in North London. However, via sports, according to Marca, the Los Blancos tried to speed up their movements.

The Spanish giants proposed a swap deal involving Rodrigo and Saliba – the offer was quickly rejected by the gunners. It is suggested that the defender remains happy in London and has not considered any moves at this point.

Asked about his future last season, he said, “I’m not a fan of my life.”

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta recently said he hasn’t allowed himself to be wrapped up in too much transfer speculation now that the season has begun. Advances Sunday’s victory over Manchester United, he said: “I’ll leave it to Andrea and the club.
