Arsenal’s winger Bukayo Saka misses Sunday’s blockbuster Premier League clash with Liverpool after being removed from action for up to four weeks. The 23-year-old was kicked out with a hamstring injury in Saturday’s 5-0 victory over Leeds United, leaving a dark cloud on the day of the statement at Emirates Stadium.

Saka recorded Arsenal’s second match, adding to two goals for Viktor Gyokeres’ Brace and Jurrien Timber. However, the fear descended the Emirates as Saka frowned and clenched his hamstring early in the second half.

Mikel Arteta further raised concern after full-time, claiming that the injury to England International was not looking good.

“Bukayo was running with the ball and he felt something in his hamstring. That’s not the same as last season, it’s another. He felt something as he galloped. That’s not a good sign,” explained the Arsenal boss.

“We have to wait to understand how long he’s going outside. I haven’t spoken to the doctor yet, but that’s important for Bukayo to come out.”

According to BBC Sport, Saka will not be available for 3-4 weeks via hamstring issues.

The scene against Leeds caused similar layoff horrors as he missed out on three months last season after injuring other hamstrings.

Saka will not be taking part in Sunday’s mammoth trip to Anfield to face Premier League title rival Liverpool.

Arsenal No. 7 is also suspected of being a rigorous test against Nottingham Forest and Manchester City after the international break in September.

There are still questions about the condition of Gunner Captain Martin Odegard, who suffered a shoulder injury in the same match.

The 26-year-old is believed to have given way to Leeds in the first half, leaving the Emirates in the sling.

However, Odegard has not yet been ruled out from his trip to Liverpool, offering hope for his involvement.

Arsenal started their latest title challenge in subtle ways, beating Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford in the opening weekend before a five-goal loss on Saturday.

A positive outcome for Arne Slot’s champions will solidify your credentials, but the already difficult tasks have become extremely difficult.
