Jadon Sancho is not close to Manchester United’s first team as the club is about to offload the winger
Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is among the players expected to leave Old Trafford this summer. However, while the winger’s off-roading has proven to be tougher than expected, Sancho is understood to have rejected a potential pair of exits.
Sancho is one of United’s highest earners and is reluctant to be a huge hit with his wages. Annoyed for United, the clubs most interested in the move are not high on Winger’s own favorite list. Rome and Besikutas are clubs expressing interest. The latter is managed by Ole Gunnar Solskal, who brought Sancho to Old Trafford in 2021 but got a sack a few months later.
According to reports on the continent, Sancho does not want to move to Turkish Super Rig at this stage of his career. He is also believed that Avenue told Rome that he did not want to join this window. Part of the Rome issue is allegedly unwilling to be the club that refuses to match Sancho’s £250,00 wage. However, he is also said to be unconvinced by the prospect of moving to Italy.

Sancho spent last season lending at Chelsea. However, they were able to pay United £5 million to escape that obligation, and the former Borussia Dortmund star is now back at Old Trafford.
He was removed from the match-day team due to Arsenal’s Premier League opener and has not been assigned a team number for the 2025-26 season. The number 25 shirt he wore for his final United appearance on Community Shield in 2024 now belongs to Manuel Ugarte.
Sancho is not the only United Fringe player tied to escape. Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrell Malacia are also on the sidelines by manager Reuben Amorim, but Rasmus Hozilund was ruled out on Sunday despite his preseason features.
“It’s our player – we have to make a choice,” Amorim said when asked about Hodzilund. “We have players who have to continue supporting our teams from outside.”
AC Milan looks like Dane’s most likely destination, no longer a first choice after Benjamin Sesco’s arrival. “Hojlund is a good option for us,” Milan sports director Igli Tare told SportMediaset over the weekend.
“We’ve been evaluating him recently, but the transfer market is unpredictable. We know we have to intervene in that position and be a player who can give this group something special.”
