Viktor Gyokeres’ future Arsenal role sparked a debate between Sky Sports experts Gary Neville and Jamie Carrager.
Jamie Carrager shocked that Mikel Arteta would not use his new signature Victor Gyoker in Arsenal’s biggest match this season. The former Liverpool defender surprised his fellow critic Gary Neville.
The Gyokeres began Arsenal’s first match of the season against Manchester United and were on the pitch an hour before it was replaced. Swedish International struggled to take part in the Gunners’ play and failed to register a shot during their time on the field, leading Arsenal to win the championship at Old Trafford.
And it’s built against rivals of Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham, reflecting the Atteta aspect. Carragher suggested that Gyoker may not work against such teams against undefeated teams in the last 22 games against these teams. The Champions League winner doesn’t think Gyoker has any problems finding the net all season, but Kai Havertz thinks it’s too important to drop.
“To be honest, I think they’ll return to Hubbard in their biggest game, and I think so,” said Karager of Sky Sports. “You can see Gyoker playing goals and scoring.”
Neville replied: “He cannot rule out Gyoker from the big game.” However, Carragher quickly doubled.

“He can,” he said. “I think Herberts is too important for Mikel Arteta to be left behind. I don’t think that’s what’s happening at all.”
Neville suggested that both stars could play together. “Arsenal needed a centre ahead and brought it, so I saw a glimpse of him as if he was going to be a handful,” Neville said.
‘ (Gabriel) Martinelli looks like he’s struggling. Perhaps bringing gyoker and Havertz together is something he has to try. ”
After Arsenal’s victory over United, Arteta admitted that he was happy with his start, although there was still more to do to integrate Gyoker fully on his side. “Well, he did a lot of good things,” the Spaniard said.
“We see that we ask for it, especially in our high pressure rhythms, in the first hour. Again, he takes too long, and that’s what we need to work on him.
“And, yeah, when I finalized the situation, he didn’t have that many chances to do that because, like I said, he had to play the final ball in the front action with the line still 40 meters behind.
“But overall, I went to Manchester United and won my first game against Arsenal. That’s a good start.”
