West Ham has four options if Graham Potter is fired after Chelsea humiliation. Soccer | Sports

Graham Potter is beginning to feel the heat in West Ham. The British have lost the support of the loyal Hammers and are unlikely to receive the support they have publicly sought from the club’s higher strength.

After a 3-0 loss to newly promoted Sunderland over the opening weekend of the season, West Ham continued it with a 5-1 loss at home to Chelsea on Friday night. Despite taking the lead, Hammer surrenders to lighten the story that they already seem doomed to a relegation fight.

Building a new arrival is a priority for Potter next week, but West Ham ownership could instead be squeezing facial changes in the London Stadium dugout. Let’s see who could replace the former Chelsea boss if Express Sport becomes the first manager of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.

Shawn Dish

If West Ham is in a situation where they need a stable pair of hands for a dogfight in a relegation fight, Dish is their man. The 54-year-old has proven he can unite his broken dressing room during his time at Everton, and the former Burnley boss will feel he can get results with this West Ham team.

Ange Postecoglou

The availability of Postecoglou will be an important factor for clubs around Europe considering sacking their respective managers, but the opportunity to stay in London could offer significant benefits if West Ham chooses to choose an approach. The former Tottenham boss is able to inject a sense of unity into his team, adapting to his system, and Post-Coglo has higher hopes than leading the hammer safely. He also supports the Buck Three System. This means that Potter’s team could be ready-made in his tactics.

Nuno Espirito Santo

Still the boss of Nottingham Forest, Santo admits that he has no good relations with his owner, Evangelos Marinakis, and does not include him in a good book in the Greek powers. So, while looting is on the card, Portuguese managers rarely lose their jobs for a long time, given their miraculous work on the ground of the city.

Michael Carrick

After failing to lead Middlesbrough to the promotion last season, Carrick was fired into Riverside Stadium outfit. However, the former midfielder is one of the candidates to replace Julen Lopetegui at West Ham prior to Potter’s appointment, and he may still be a consideration. Having appeared in the club more than 100 times, Carrick could be the number that fans and players need to support their plans, especially given his desire to integrate young people and build around a solid core.
