Cole thinks there’s a much better chance that Arsenal Stands will win the trophy at Eze, but he refuses to say they’re favorites to finish the top of the table.
“They said they needed to sign two or three top players,” Cole said after being shown a clip of themselves saying Arsenal wouldn’t win the trophy this season.
“I think he’s a missing link, he’ll help them. I think it’s difficult for them to win the trophy, but he certainly takes them to the next level.

“It’s (close to Arsenal’s winning the league, which makes Arsenal even closer.
“I still think Liverpool won (the league), but I think that’s close, I think Manchester City is close.
The Gunners won the Premier League campaign last weekend with a 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
They reportedly defeated bitter rival Tottenham to Eze’s signature after the forward approached moving to the white side of north London.
Cole was impressed by how Arsenal did their business at a critical stage in the transfer window.
“It’s huge. I love the way Arsenal did business there,” Cole added.
“I think they didn’t get in the way, they let Tottenham keep the prices down and negotiated with a palace that we know we have to sell.
“Then they were swept last minute, and I think he fits perfectly into their system.
“He’s a great character, he’s a top footballer and he’s at the peak of his strength. We saw him at Chelsea last week and he was sliding down the pitch.
“Arsenal has been making uttering noises in the transfer market and hasn’t bought a striker in three or four years, but he’s been acting fast and sharp about this.
“I think he’s improving their team and it’s a massive statement and will rock the title race.”
Cole’s fellow TNT sports expert Ally McCoist was shocked to see reports that Spurs had slipped his fingers through.
“Absolutely, I can fully understand that (the rage of Tottenham fans),” he said.
“Unknown information makes it difficult to get a completely objective view.
“Spurs fans have to sit there and think, let’s close the deal.
“So there were rumours that Eze wanted to play in the European game at the Palace, and I got it.
“But if you’re really serious about getting your business done, you just go in and make the offer.”
