Former Premier League star Troy Deaney believes that if Alexander Isaac is forced to move to Liverpool this summer, he will need to pull pages from his book. The forward wants to leave Newcastle, and it’s revealed in his feelings about the Saga, hinting at how the promise was broken by the club with a “no-selling” stance.
Liverpool has already rejected one bid for Swedish International and a second offer is ongoing, but the Reds are spending their time hoping that Newcastle can bring in at least one striker to ensure that they have the chance to negotiate the deal.
In the meantime, ISAK is training on its own, hoping that it will be possible to reach an agreement between the clubs. But former Wotford captain Deany believes that the striker may need to resort to hopeless measures to ensure that he acknowledges the movement of his dreams.
Deeney wrote for the Sun and explained that by ruining the training session to force Newcastle’s hands in the final week of the summer transfer period, Isaac feels he needs to “burn the bridge” with his teammates.
He writes: “At the end of the day, Newcastle wants the best for Newcastle. His agents want a fair deal on their own, but ultimately his job is to do right by his players.
“In private, my agent told me, “You have to make a fuss here. You’ll go back to training and do all the runs, but as soon as the ball gets involved, you’ll have to ruin the session.
“It was really tough. You go home feeling guilty and train for no reason, burn the bridge for someone you like so much. But you just remember the person you’re doing it.
“You’ll go from Newcastle to one of Liverpool’s biggest clubs in world football. You’ll probably win a major title.” Although Newcastle’s Saudi ownership has been claiming Isaac remains in St. James’ parks for the summer, it’s still unclear how he’ll respond to the UK’s forward-record-breaking bids from Liverpool if the forwards begin to risk club hopes.
