“I played with him in Frankfurt. He has many qualities, but hopefully we can beat them when we play against them.”
Marmash also spoke about his manager, Pep Guardiola. He labeled it “the best in the world.”
“It’s amazing, I’m working with the best coaches in the world, constantly trying to learn from him and learn how he explains the game, the tactics,” he said.
“He explains it in a way that will help you understand the game and help you improve. Passion, all training, all games, he pushes you to do his best and is very happy to work under the best coach in the world.
“Hopefully I can improve and learn a lot.”
Marmash also wants to learn from teammate Erling Haaland, who has scored 126 goals in 147 games since joining Man City in 2022.
“I found him score so many goals, always motivated, he’s hungering, he’s scored that amount of goals,” he said.
“It’s very impressive and it helps me to be here with players like Haarland who know how to score goals and where the space is. It’s a joy to work with him.”

Speaking about the pair’s partnership, he added:
“You’re always trying to support each other, whether you’re on the pitch together. Just putting him on the pitch will be a much bigger threat.”
This season, Marmash was one of the City stars who donate to the club’s charity and supported the free school holiday program during the 2025/26 season.
