Tottenham Hotspur travels to Manchester City with fixtures that are rarely lacking in both drama and goals.
Man City v Spurs – The final four Etihad Stadium meetings
Both were busy with the summer transfer window as they were hoping to fulfill their ambitions in their new campaign.
But what are the shapes of the two teams before the match? And can they do more business before the windows close?
It is secured among the sticks amidst the uncertainty of the city
Vicario could not be challenged as the Spurs’ first under new manager Thomas Frank, with Kinski and Austin stepping in as agents as needed, such as when an Italian was injured during the final campaign.
In City, it is not very clear that longtime starter and club legend Edason is rumoured to be heading towards the exit door.
The re-acquisition of the club for the 22-year-old former City Academy stopper Trafford from Burnley suggests long-standing plans at the position, but the club is reportedly interested in the genre Rugidon Narma of Paris Saint-Germain.
Strong defense, but the right interest
The city’s defensive line appears to be strong through central and left-back positions, but beyond Lewis on the right, Guardiola’s only proper backup comes from re-shuffling players accustomed to playing in the middle.
It seems unlikely that Kabore will finally get his breakthrough with Etihad.
The Spurs’ Premier League campaign caused a major clash that failed to recover last season, mainly due to lack of defense to launch Pear Romero and Vandeben.
It appears that there will be several other options in this position if the former commits to the club, and especially if Frank chooses three in the middle, but the trouble from last season could be left to history.
Like the city, it will require some creative readjustment to go beyond the initial choice at Polo and plug in the gaps in the event that Portuguese are absent at any time.
City Midfield Rich focused on the needs of the Spurs
The mobility of the city’s offense means that players expect to play both nominally, deeper and wider.
Guardiola finds himself currently has some options when it comes to anyone who can play an offensive midfield role, including some of his new faces at the club.
In the case of the Spurs, on the other hand, there are enough players to fill in the middle of the park, but James Madison’s injury means that the options aren’t as healthy for attacking midfield areas for now.

The strength of the city justifies Haaland’s dependence
The city’s attack strength left free scoring Haaland as the team’s main focus, with January arrival Malmarsh being the only other recognized striker at the club.
The Egyptians could also play widely as an alternative to Doc and potentially Real Madrid’s Rodrigo if rumors are believed, but the new signature Cherki could switch to Foden if necessary.
Solanke will be the Spurs’ main outlet at the top of the pitch, but after a two-goal starring role against Burnley, Richarrison bets his point on No. 9.
The club’s decision to make Tel’s loans permanent in the summer gives them another option in this position as well.
In the wing, the kudus is added to the already strong area of the pitch on the right, but beyond players carrying shoes on the other side, a recently reported alternative to son Hengmin is awfully needed.
