You’ve heard them in the comment box, but now Ally McCoist and Darren Fletcher have their reputation on the Ally vs Fletch line, the brand new prediction challenge for TNT Sports.
Our iconic duo will face each other head-on throughout the 2025/26 Premier League season, predicting scores for every game, from Title Dequidar to Burnley’s cold rain on Tuesday nights (sorry, Burnley).
And yes, they both take this very seriously, and are already discussing the appropriately humiliating forfeiture for the loser.
During the opening weekend, the fretting race was the early lead, with six correct results, including one perfect score. Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-0 victory over Burnley. Will Ally bounce in round two?

GameWeek 2 Prediction
Man City v Tottenham Hotspur (TNT Sports)
Ally: “Last week, City was very impressive against the wolves. They look like they have a goal for their team.
“Yes, I’m disappointed to lose another signature, but they got a comfortable victory in the opening game against Burnley. Richard Lison is in great shape, they look much more solid in the back and I think they have a goal.”
Prediction: Man City 2-2 Spurs
Fletch: “I’m going to give Man City an edge because they’re at home. I think the Spurs are a better team under Thomas Frank.
“They may play three behind with two wingbacks, like they did in the Super Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain.
“At Erling Haaland, they have players who nick several goals. I was really impressed with Tijani Rayjuns midway through last week.”
Prediction: Man City 2-1 Spurs
Newcastle United v Liverpool
Ally: “The topic is clearly Alexander Isaac, and what’s going on there? But we can consider Newcastle to be extremely unlucky to not score three points at Villa Park last week.
“Obviously Liverpool scores goals, but I’m still a bit worried about them in the back – that’s why I go for a draw.
Prediction: Newcastle 2-2 Liverpool
Fletch: “I think it’s going to be a decent game, but Newcastle might have a hard time scoring again. Hugo Ekaitoke is on fire.
“I think the wingback, away from the Liverpool home, is really good as Newcastle has to move forward in search of his goals at home. I think it leaves some space for Jeremy Fripon and Milos Kerquez.
“Liverpool is better than Newcastle right now. Newcastle needs a striker. Without a striker, you can’t beat Liverpool.”
Prediction: Newcastle 0-2 Liverpool
