Liverpool has only played one game in the Premier League this season, but has already been hit hard after news that right-back Jeremy Fripon will be coming out for weeks with a hamstring injury
Liverpool boss Arne Slot confirmed the major blow that new signature Jeremie Frimpong is expected to be ruled out until after his first international break after suffering a hamstring injury.
Frimon was signed by Bayer Lebakusen for around £3 million and as a direct replacement for Trent Alexander Arnold, who joined Real Madrid after the contract expired.
And the speedy right back impressed many fans with his display during the preseason. The player was replaced by the time mark when he won 4-2 on the first day of the Premier League after complaining of hamstring issues.
But Liverpool will have to do it in the coming weeks without any new additions after annoying setbacks.
Bradley had just returned from his own injury issues and trained with the team for the first time on Thursday. However, Slot went out of his way to praise his medical staff to ensure that Frimon’s issues were not so serious.

“Connor trained with us for a few minutes today. The medical team was totally right to take him off about Jeremy as he was out until the end of the international break. Jeremy felt there was a problem with his hamstrings – the medical team was.
Slot said it reduced the importance of a setback in recent injuries suffered by both players, and that fitness issues could occur for any player.
“Jeremy has a very positive injury record,” added Dutchman. “Connor came out once or twice last season. These things happen. We’ve only been injured twice in the same moment, but we’re in the same position.
Meanwhile, Slot gave Joe Gomez another update. Joe Gomez is fighting to return to his first team after a long-term injury.
The former Feyenoord boss said that in the event of an injury it is impossible to avoid such a defensive situation and that more players cannot be signed in one position if a player becomes available.
“Joe Gomez hasn’t retreated, but he hasn’t been able to train for three consecutive days. We’ll see where he’s on Monday and whether he can start. You’re not ready for injuries in one position – you can’t have five right backs.
If Slot decides that both Bradley and Gomez are not ready for a trip to Newcastle, he could be forced to shift either Curtis Jones or Dominique Sobosilai, who played last season and preseason respectively.
Liverpool will have several big games in place to bid to defend their Premier League titles. First, they will welcome title rival Arsenal to Anfield the following weekend after facing a test trip to Newcastle on Monday.
