Federico Chiesa scored Liverpool’s first Premier League goal after a difficult first season with the Reds and Arne Slots.
Arne Slot believes there is a chance to build a bright future in Liverpool after Federico Chiesa finally launches a Premier League account for Bournemouth. Chiesa, 27, did not score one league goal in her first season at Anfield last year.
The Italian winger only made 14 appearances in all competitions, which included only four starts. However, Chiesa scored an 88-minute volley for Bange this season, scoring to rescue Liverpool until the opening draw with Bournemouth.

After the match, slot was asked about Chiesa’s outlook at Merseyside, tied to leaving before the summer transfer window closed. “As long as he’s here, it’s definitely in Liverpool and there’s no reason to believe it will change,” replied the Liverpool manager.

“He got fitness ready last season and unfortunately missed the Asian Tour and Joe Gomez the same way. He ended up losing Connor Bradley and all of my replacements involved a player who couldn’t make it for 90 minutes.
“You need number 9 at 2-2. I brought him in and he delivered. It’s always positive about your future at the club. Fans sang for him many times last season.
“That’s hard for me to tell you (why did the supporters take Chiesa well). I’m a fan, but I’m not standing in the KOP and I’ve never come up with these songs.

Chiesa also commented on his future, saying, “We’ll talk to Liverpool, but to be completely honest, I’m happy here.” “I’m playing for one of the best teams in the world. Like tonight, I just have to wait and be ready and prove I can play for this team.”
