Manchester United revealed on September 1 that he will be behind the midfielder before the summer transfer window closes. Reuben Amorim welcomed some offensive additions to his team this summer, but the United boss is said to be after the new midfielder.
Carlos Valleva was rumoured to be the signature of the Red Devils’ preferred midfield, but Brighton is expected to stay at a fee of over £100 million. This suggests that 20-time champions may have to explore alternative options in the middle of the park.
One of them could involve Amorim’s reunion with Morten Fujrmand. Hjulmand was suppressed as a possible transfer target for United early in the summer window, but began talking about the move to Old Trafford.
However, if United stepped onto the floor in pursuit of Hjulmand, it might take some time to acquire Old Trafford’s loyal person, given that he has an Arsenal coat of arms tattooed. In an interview with the Portuguese outlet records, the 26-year-old revealed that TAT pays tribute to former gunner icon Patrick Vieira.
He explained: “My dad supported Arsenal and we watched the game together when we were younger.” Given the tense rivalry between United and Arsenal, whether hjulmand has ever had the famous red and black strips can be a nasty look.
If anything previous comments on Amorim are okay, Hjulmand doesn’t need much persuasiveness. The midfielder was angry that the tactician left the sport mid-season, revealing that the current United manager was one of the reasons he joined the sport.
He said last year, “It’s also hard to hear. It was sad that Reuben left me and left the sport. It’s a great opportunity. I hope Reuben is proud to have received such an offer.
“Of course, Reuben was one of the reasons I came to the sport. When I worked with Reuben, I could see a clear picture. It was important when I joined the sport. He was the way to manage the pitch and the teams outside the pitch to get a sense of how he plays first. Not something I’ve seen in my short career.
