Pep Guardiola labelled his team “Not Healthy” after seeing Manchester City kick off the Premier League season with a 4-0 wolf thrashing in Molinaw.

City was too good for the Molineux hosts as Erling Haaland scored twice and Vitor Pereira’s men were placed on the sword, causing new Dutch midfielder Tijjani Rejnders to run the show. The new No. 1 James Trafford has been barely tested between the sticks, and another debutant, Rayan Cherki, came out of the bench the day wolf fans paid tribute to Diogo Jota in front of the tragic former Portuguese star’s wife and family.

But despite their intense start to the new campaign, Guardiola said there was important work on his current team two weeks before the end of the summer transfer period, and that speculation is growing for Ederson’s future. Guardiola said on Friday that his longtime No. 1 will begin in a black country, but the only thing the Brazilians are not included in the match-day team. The city claimed he was ill on Friday.

Guardiola rarely offered a bit more with Ederson Post-Game, but instead insisted that the city should cut down on its teams in the next two weeks. “Too many. There are too many people, too many players.”

The city boss said: “It’s not about Eddie. Today there was Rodri and Phil (Foden), Kovasic was injured, but Savinho and Josco are out. There was Nathan and Gund. We had Nathan and Gund.

“You can’t create a good atmosphere or atmosphere to compete. Everyone has to feel they can play, they can help and compete with their opponents. The club has known that since last season, so it’s not the news, but the situation is.

“In the next two weeks, people will talk to players and agents to find a solution.”

Guardiola added about the impact of the new signature of Reijnders, who stood out in his Premier League debut following a summer switch from AC Milan: “He is the typical player that you need in the Premier League.

“His work ethic, the holding midfielder, takes up a lot of space and controls with the ball and his movements, he’s going behind and trying to score.
