Anthony Gordon warned Liverpool of a rude awakening in Newcastle next Monday night amid growing anger over his attempt to sign Alexander Isaac.
Sweden was absent as Magpies began their Premier League season with a goalless draw against Aston Villa at Villa Park. When Ezri Consa was fired for carrying Gordon away midway through the second half, the hosts fell to 10.
Angry Newcastle fans could hear them chanting “There’s only one greedy b****” after the game, as their anger over the situation surrounding the star striker was revealed.
Magpies will host Liverpool in the first home game of the season next Monday, with Villa’s draw soon turned into a contest, followed by clubs’ attempts to sign Isaac.

Liverpool has received one bid for the Swedes who was turned down by Newcastle, and is expected to return to another after the 25-year-old reveals he has no intention of playing for the Magpie again.
When he was forced into a meeting with Liverpool by TNT Sports next Monday, Scouser Gordon said:
“I’m looking forward to seeing home fans again and coming back to the stadium. It’s going to be a top game.”
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe was also pushed against Isaac and the latest after the game and said, “It’s a difficult person to answer.
“We hope it was resolved soon because it’s always news around us. The players were able to lock it out and play. We have to keep doing it. We have to deal with it without a story about us.”
As to whether the situation would add spice to Liverpool equipment, he added: “It’s always tough against Liverpool. There’s a history in fixtures, and we look forward to it.
The Reds began the season with Summer opening his account for the club before signing Summer’s Hugo Ekitique with a 4-2 victory over Bournemouth at Anfield on Friday night, and a late strike from Federico Chiesa and Mo Sara secured a dramatic victory.
Newcastle defeated Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final in March, and the December league fixture at St James Park ended with a 3-3 draw.
