Tottenham appears poised to secure a major transfer breakthrough in a meeting with Crystal Palace for Ebeki Eze. The club is engaged in direct debate over a permanent move that is expected to cost around £60 million, and the offensive midfielder hopes that the Spurs’ upcoming Premier League can collide with Manchester City.
The potential transfer appeared to have reached a pivotal moment last weekend when Eze’s absence from a palace match against Chelsea became a real possibility. Nevertheless, both the player and Oliver Glasner decided he would join the fixture.
Following that scoreless stalemate at Stamford Bridge, Eze appeared to say goodbye to the faithful palace in the visiting section. If it proved to be his last outing for the Eagles, Eze was taken away from the end of the picture book when his epic free kick was ruled out due to an infringement by Mark Guech.
Oliver Glasner thinks it’s not his final appearance, and the palace boss makes his attitude towards the situation of Ez Transfer transparent.
Discussing England International on Sunday afternoon, he said:
With two years left in his contract and Eze expressing his desire to participate, it is unlikely that the palace will hinder his movements. However, the deal could potentially stall until the palace secures a replacement. This is a goal that appears to be closer, following the latest updates from Bilal El Khannous.
Selhurst Park contacted the Leicester City star and reported that TBR football prefers to travel beyond Everton, Leeds United and West Ham to the palace.
Graeme Bailey, lead reporter for TBR Football, said:
The fox is currently demanding £30 million from Morocco International. This financial requirement means that the palace wants a large portion of the Eze fees that will be paid in advance, but Spurs hopes they can pay it in favorable installments considering other transfer plans.
In addition to Eze, Manchester City’s Sabigno is also being targeted, but the 21-year-old’s signature will likely require a record-breaking package deal. Thomas Frank also wants a new defender, even if Christian Romero has a long-term future secured after signing a new contract.
